An old textile factory is currently under conversion into five elegant contemporary offices in São Paulo. The architect, Vinicius Cipriano, highlights the building’s history by redesigning the façade’s brickwork and large windows, bringing a modern twist to a classic warehouse look.
Inside, the project employs a minimalist style whilst keeping the building’s industrial veins running through the details. Ample and clean spaces are contrasted with exposed ductwork and concrete floors. Modern aluminium windows bring in a polished look to the façade’s raw blue bricks, imported from the UK especially for this project.
The entrance features a double façade detail that creates a spectacular sense of arrival. A retractible sunroof allows for extra sunlight and fresh air to enter the building – perfect for generating an added sense of wellbeing in the local tropical climate.
